Mason PUD 3 has officially closed its outage center, putting a cap on recovery efforts from yesterday's windstorm. The final area with a concentrated outage, Dewatto, was restored at 5:39 this morning.

(MASON COUNTY, WA) – Mason PUD 3 has made great strides in restoring electricity to customers affected by Thursday’s intense western Washington windstorm.
At the height of the storm, 9,671 PUD 3 customers had their power cut by downed trees, limbs and other causes.
As of midnight, PUD crews are working to restore electricity to 108 customers scattered throughout Mason County.
The main areas out at this time include:
- Collins Drive
- Lombard Road

The highest wind gust recorded Thursday was 44 miles per hour at Sanderson Field near Shelton.
- Shelton – 44 MPH
- Skokomish Valley – 40 MPH
- Lake Limerick – 37 MPH
- Belfair – 31 MPH
- Lake Cushman – 30 MPH
- South Shore of Hood Canal – 28 MPH
- Dayton – 27 MPH
The High Wind Warning for Mason County and much of Western Washington State is cancelled. Several weather alerts remain in effect;
