The 2017 Mason County Forest Festival Celebrated "Forests of the Future." PUD 3 urged customers to save a tree by using paperless billing.

rr-avenue.jpg(SHELTON, WA) – Mason PUD 3 joined with 81 other parade entries Saturday (June 3) to celebrate the 2017 Paul Bunyan Grand Parade in Downtown Shelton. The parade is the highlight of the annual Mason County Forest Festival.

In keeping with the theme of “Forests of the Future,” PUD 3 employees handed our Douglas Fir seedlings to those lining the parade route. The entry also encouraged customers to “save a tree by going green” with paperless billing.

PUD 3's Asia Cline drove the PUD's electric service cart, which was decorated as a miniature boom truck. The entry won second place in the commercial division.
