PUD 3 crews responding to reports of widespread power outages in Mason County.

As of 4:40 PM there are 1,270 Mason PUD 3 customers whose power was cut by the windstorm that cut through the county today.

At the height of the storm, there were 9,671 customers affected.

The main areas out at this time include:

  • Allyn
  • Portion of Lynch/Cole Road
  • Creekside Drive
  • Lombard Road
  • Shelton Valley
  • Shorecrest
  • Somers Drive
  • Trails End Drive
  • Victor

There are numerous small, scattered outages throughout Mason County.

(SHELTON, WA) -- A late fall storm barreled through Mason County this morning, packing winds over 40 miles per hour causing widespread power outages for Mason PUD customers. The first outages were reported at 9:45 AM, with continuing reports through 11:00 AM.

As of 11:15 AM, there are 3,210 customers affected by today’s storm. The main areas include:

  • Cole Road Area
  • Dewatto
  • Haven Lake
  • Lake Cushman
  • Lake Nahwatzel area
  • Shelton Valley
  • Somers Drive
  • SW Mason County in the vicinity of Satsop Cloquallum/Lillie Road

There are numerous small, scattered outages throughout Mason County.

The highest wind gust recorded this morning was 44 miles per hour at Sanderson Field near Shelton.

  • Shelton – 44 MPH
  • Skokomish Valley – 40 MPH
  • Belfair – 31 MPH
  • Lake Limerick – 37 MPH
  • Lake Cushman – 30 MPH
  • South Shore of Hood Canal – 28 MPH
  • Dayton – 27 MPH
