Updated March 13, 2017, 10:12 PM - Power fully restored at 9:59 PM to all customers affected by today's Agate area outage.
Updated March 13, 5 PM - By rerouting electricity, we were able to restore electricity to 1,500 customers. There are about 600 customers still affected by this outage. Our estimated time of restoration is 10:00 PM.
(AGATE, WA) – Mason PUD 3 crews are working to restore electricity to nearly 2,100 customers in the Agate area east of Shelton. A tree came across power lines on the Agate Road west of Pioneer School, Cutting electricity to the area.
General areas affected include:
- Agate Road from SR 3 to the intersection of Pickering road, and most roads off Agate.
The outage began at about 2;11 PM. A tree fell across power lines on Agate road pulling cable onto the roadway.

PUD 3 recommends unplugging sensitive appliances and electronic equipment until power has been restored for approximately 20 minutes. In addition, especially with electronics, it is important to consider using surge protection.
