Fiber to Your Home

We’re expanding access to our fiber optic network into designated “Fiberhoods”.

We’ve heard you! Everyone wants PUD 3 fiber, so let’s get started.

We’re building out the network based on demand, which means you and your neighbors have to prove you want it!

If you’re in a Fiberhood, sign up through the site linked below, then help your neighbors to sign up.

Once 75% of a Fiberhood lets us know you want it, we’ll put you on the construction list. The list is growing and it may take a while to put shovels in the ground in your neighborhood, so sign up as soon as possible to get your area on the list!

How Does PUD 3 Decide Where to Build?

By registering and making a commitment, you show us where demand for our fiber network is greatest. When your pre-qualified Fiberhood reaches a 75% commitment level, we’ll add it to our construction list. So keep on encouraging your neighbors to sign up and let us know they’re interested. The more you do, the greater the chance of getting hooked up to our fast and reliable network. It all follows 4 simple steps:

Step 1, See If You’re in a Fiberhood

Enter your address in our Fiberhood website. If your home isn’t in a qualifying Fiberhood, it’s not being considered for fiber optic expansion at this time. Sorry! However, if you’d like to let us know you’re interested in fiber if and/or when it becomes available, please let us know by sending an email.

Step 2, Make a Commitment

You’re getting closer to getting your high speed connection! Pre-register for your new fiber service and convince your neighbors to do the same. There is no financial obligation to sign up and you are not required to take service once it is built. This merely a mechanism to raise your hand and say you plan to take service sometime in the future, if and/or when it becomes available. Once your Fiberhood reaches a 75% commitment level, we’ll add your area to the construction list.

Step 3, Under Construction

Well done! You and your neighbors have passed the threshold. Our engineering, design, and fiber optic network build-out in your area has begun. This can be a lengthy process (about a year in many cases), but trust us, we’re either working on your project, or one that met the signup goals just before yours. Hang in there!

Step 4, Get Connected:

Congratulations! You and your neighbors are now ready to connect to the world with lightning fast speeds! Contact the PUD 3 Telecom Team to get started call (360) 432-1550 or email Mason PUD 3.

You’ll submit a construction application and pay a one-time $250 Fiberhood Application Fee. An engineer will schedule an appointment to review your location and then make plans for the connection to your home.

If you have questions about the process, give us a call or send an email.

Fiberhood Program Overview

In order to pay for the fiber network expansion to your neighborhood – and then to your home, Fiberhood customers pay an additional “Construction Adder” on their internet bill.

Fiberhood customers will pay $25 per month for 12 years, which is included in the bill issued by the customer’s internet service provider.

Some customers may choose to pay the full $3600 upfront so they can have a lower monthly bill, qualify for seasonal service, or write it off as a business expense.

This fee is in addition to the price for internet service from the retailer you choose. It covers the cost of your physical connection to the network.

Please note: Only active users in successfully established Fiberhoods will pay the construction adder, not all PUD 3 customers and not customers in Fiberhoods that choose not to take service.

If you have any questions about the program, please send us an email.
