PUD 3 Surcharge Supports 3,505 Households
Since Mason PUD 3 added the Low-Income Assistance Surcharge line item on electric bills in January 2023, the fund has supported programs that Project Share donations alone could not fund. In 2024, the surcharge collected $1.7 million, supporting 3,505 households.

Mason County Draft Hazard Mitigation Plan Available for Public Review and Comment
In December 2022, a coalition of Mason County cities and special purpose districts embarked on a planning process to prepare for impacts of disasters. The comment period for review of draft plan will begin May 15, 2023 and end May 30, 2023.
