Bonneville Power Administration (BPA) has scheduled maintenance work for its Potlatch Substation overnight June 5-6, which will result in an outage affecting just under 2,100 PUD 3 customers in the Lake Cushman area.
The 8-hour outage window will begin at midnight and conclude by 8 a.m. on Saturday, June 6.
Those with medical equipment should have a backup plan for outages. This can include acquiring a generator, having a battery backup, or finding an alternative location to stay for the duration of the outage. Contact the device manufacturers about outage support.
During the outage, PUD 3 recommends unplugging sensitive appliances and electronic equipment until power has been restored for about 20 minutes. Also, especially with electronics, it is important to use surge protectors.
We appreciate your patience while BPA completes this important maintenance work.
