May 22 - Overnight Outage Planned for Customers Along Portions of State Route 3 in Allyn

On Monday, May 22, Mason PUD 3 will be replacing a complex pole located on State Route 3 to improve system reliability as well as meet current Washington State Department of Transportation clearance requirements. While the work occurs, there will be a temporary planned power outage for 95 customers in Allyn.

The overnight outage will begin at 10:00 p.m., May 22 and last until to 6:00 a.m. on the morning of May 23.

During the outage, PUD 3 recommends unplugging sensitive appliances and electronic equipment until power has been restored for about 20 minutes. Also, especially with electronics, it is important to use surge protectors.

Scheduling this work at night is necessary to avoid blocking traffic on State Route 3. Customers in the affected area have been notified by mail. Any questions about the project may be directed to the PUD’s Belfair Line Superintendent in charge of the project at (360) 275-8980.
