PUD 3 offers a billing credit for ENERGYSTAR®-certified electric clothes washers and dryers for existing residences. We also offer incentive checks for qualifying heat pump water heaters for new and existing residential and commercial sites.
We will need a copy of your receipt with make, model number, and cost of the qualifying appliance. We also need your PUD 3 account number (or service address and name of the account holder) along with what type of water heat you use (for the heat pump water heater incentive).
Simply e-mail your receipt and Washer & Dryer Incentive Form with the above-listed information to our Rebates mailbox or drop off at any PUD 3 location.

Heat Pump Water Heater (HPWH) Incentives
ENERGY STAR® qualified heat pump water heaters (HPWH) are revolutionizing the way we heat water. New products recently introduced are utilizing super-efficient technology that can cut water heating costs by more than half! Program Requirements
In existing homes, the HPWH must replace an electric storage water heater. Please download PUD 3's HPWH Incentive Form. This form must be filled out and submitted with all required documentation before incentives can be paid.

- The new HPWH must be listed on the BPA's qualified products list (PDF) as meeting the requirements of the Northern Climate Specification.
- PUD 3's HPWH Incentive form (PDF) must be completed and submitted.
- Please check with your local permitting agencies (Washington State Labor & Industries, Mason County or City of Shelton) to see what permitting your installation is subjected to.

- 40 Gallon HPWH Tier 3 & 4: $1400 Incentive Check
- 50+ Gallon HPWH Tier 3: $1600 Incentive Check
- 50+ Gallon HPWH Tier 4: $1800 Incentive Check
Smart Thermostat Incentive
Qualifying homes with an electric furnace or electric furnace with heat pump are eligible for a $140 (self-install) or $165 (HVAC contractor install) incentive when replacing an existing thermostat with a qualified smart thermostat.
