An electrical work permit is required by Washington State L&I on all new and/or altered wiring. There is a fee required for this permit.
This notice is provided in an effort to give you information regarding required electrical work permits.
For your convenience, you can receive a permit on the internet at www.lni.wa.gov or in person at any Labor and Industries office.
An electrical inspector is in the Mason County area on designated days. Contact the Department of Labor and Industries, at one of the phone numbers listed below, for the days scheduled in your area.
The electrical inspector will leave an orange sticker on your meter base if the service has been approved. It is the customer's responsibility to notify PUD 3 of approvals. You can either call in the designated numbers on the orange sticker, or bring in your electrical work permit application copy which has been signed off by the state inspector. PUD 3 must have the approval before the service connection can be scheduled.
To contact the Department of Labor and Industries, please call: (360) 902-6350 in Tumwater/Olympia or (360) 308-2800 in Silverdale (for the Belfair area)
