Customers who qualify for the PUD 3 Low-Income Energy Assistance Grant are also able to participate in our low-income energy efficiency programs:
PUD 3 offers billing credits for ENERGY STAR® - certified electric clothes washers and dryers for existing residences. Additionally, homes that meet PUD 3's low-income qualifications are eligible for Tier 3 and Tier 4 heat pump water heaters, as well as ductless heat pumps.
Please provide a copy of your receipt or invoice, including the make, model number, and cost of the eligible unit, as well as your PUD 3 account number (or service address and account holder's name). Please indicate the type of water heater you use (for heat pump water heater incentive) and your current heating system type (for ductless heat pump incentive).
Receipts and invoices with the above-listed information can be e-mailed to our Rebates email box of dropped off at any PUD 3 location.
ENERGY STAR Washer Incentive
You can receive up to a maximum of $800, matching your expenses dollar for dollar (please note: repair costs are not eligible for this program).
ENERGY STAR Dryer Incentive
ENERGY STAR Electric Clothes Dryer or BPA Tiers 1-3
You can receive up to a maximum of $800, matching your expenses dollar for dollar (please note: repair costs are not eligible for this program).
Heat Pump Water Heater Incentive
Heat Pump Water Heater Tiers 3 & 4
You can receive up to a maximum of $3000, matching your expenses dollar for dollar.
Contact a PUD Energy Efficiency Advisor to ensure unit qualifies as Tier 3 or 4.
Ductless Heat Pump Incentive
You can receive up to a maximum of $6000, matching your expenses dollar for dollar.
Air Source Heat Pump Incentive
You can receive up to a maximum of $9000, matching your expenses dollar for dollar.
